AS400 Analyst developer with Cobol

The goal is to ensure that the Software Development services provided to the business are stable, resilient and performant.Key responsibilities:Develop, test, and implement applications using Cobol and CLP languages on the AS/400 platform.Analyze business requirements and translate them into detailed technical specifications.Maintain and optimize existing applications to ensure their performance, reliability, and security.Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely delivery of software solutions and improve development processes.Resolve technical issues and provide user support, ensuring that all problems are promptly and efficiently addressed.Document processes, changes made to applications and implemented technical solutions.Actively participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions to identify and implement innovative solutions.What we are looking for:Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in AS400 platform and projects developments using Cobol/CLP.Advanced knowledge of SQL and relational databases, especially DB2 for AS400Knowledge of the MQ frameworkKnowledge of the AS-400 schedulerKnowledge of CQS and Leasing products (nice to have)Problem-solving with the ability to handle technical issues.You show ability to encourage communication and collaboration between team members in order to meet the objectives, ability to integrate in a local team as well as in a remote teamYou have an attention to detail and very good analytical skillsYou speak Italian and English (oral and written) fluently – mandatoryNice to have:Checks on system the last day of every month at 23:00 or at 07:30;if the last day is Saturday, Sunday or holiday at 11:00;first working day of the month at 22:00-24:00the day after the first working day of the month at 10:00We need the specialists to perform the following:Monitoring of job executionVerification of the production and delivery of flowsOnly eligible candidates will be contacted for further information and start of the recruitment process.
