You may review, modify, or update your information by visiting and logging into the careers section of the system.Job DescriptionAt Ascentium Capital, the Credit Manager leads a team of analysts responsible for evaluating commercial loan applications for new loan transactions as well as for processing annual loan reviews on existing borrowers.Ascentium Capital, a division of Regions Bank, provides convenient access to financing for business equipment and technology and serves small organizations to Fortune 500 companies with programs that benefit manufacturers, distributors and direct to businesses nationwide. Our finance specialization covers several segments, including technology, healthcare, hospitality, franchise, commercial vehicles, and other markets. We strive to be the premier provider of customized finance programs that add value to our customers' businesses.Primary ResponsibilitiesLeads the examination of credit risk and ensures proper risk management practices are in place and utilized effectively through ongoing monitoring activities including identifying risk rating accuracy and policy complianceServes as lead examiner on occasion for specific reviews/examinations which may include activities such as proper sample selection, review team composition/ logistics, data compilation and analysis, written report generation, and collaboration with unit managementProvides continual feedback regarding existing or emerging risks or issuesActively identifies and mitigates risk in existing and proposed credit products transactionsMaintains market knowledge of loan pricing and structural trends to match client needs with company credit product solutionsCoaches associates around client selectivity, loan and lease structuring, underwriting, servicing and risk ratingOversees the hiring, training, development, and coaching of associatesWorks in conjunction with the appropriate managers and executives to support each business unit's performance goals and service standardsActs as a subject matter expertise and assists in managing the overall delivery of credit decisions within established policies and regulationsMay maintain limited client portfolio management, including portfolio reportingThis position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.This position is incentive eligible.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related fieldSeven (7) years of experience in commercial/bank underwriting or related experienceManagement/supervisory experiencePreferencesExperience with Fair Isaac credit modelsExperience in formal bank underwriting trainingSkills And CompetenciesAbility to manage multiple prioritiesAbility to learn additional systems as neededAbility to research, analyze data, and derive factsAbility to work in a team environment when applicableAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlinesProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)Strong attention to detail and proof-reading skillsStrong skills in calculating financial ratiosStrong understanding of personal and business credit reportsStrong verbal, written communication, and organizational skillsStrong work ethic and self-motivationPosition TypeFull timeCompensation DetailsPay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.MinimumJob Range Target:$152,277.84 USDMedian$203,954.40 USDIncentive Pay PlansThis role is eligible to participate in a discretionary incentive plan.
