Job Description

At Benshaw, Fabrication Assembly workers are responsible for building and preparing the metal enclosures, mounting hardware, and structural components that house and support the electrical systems—like motor controls, drives, and custom panels. This team is essential in turning raw materials and sheet metal into finished, functional enclosures ready for electrical assembly. Schedule: Monday- Friday 6am-2: 30pm Overtime opportunity (voluntary) before shift, after shift & SaturdaysLocation: 615 Alpha Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15238Key Responsibilities of Fabrication Assembly Workers: Mechanical Assembly: Assemble sheet metal cabinets, panels, and substructures from fabricated or machined parts.

Mount din rails, brackets, panel supports, and other mechanical hardware based on engineering drawings. Use hand and power tools (drills, riveters, torque wrenches, etc. ) to install hardware and fasteners. Punch, tap, and drill holes in panels and frames as needed for component mounting or cable routing. Interpretation and Setup: Read and follow mechanical blueprints, layout drawings, and assembly instructions to ensure correct builds. Ensure all dimensions, cutouts, and mounting locations match specified requirements. Finishing and Preparation: Install gaskets, filters, vents, and door hardware (hinges, latches, locks).

Deburr and clean fabricated metal parts to prepare them for paint or powder coat. Inspect finished enclosures for cosmetic and dimensional accuracy. Required Skills and Qualifications: Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and instructions. Experience using basic fabrication and hand tools. Comfortable working with sheet metal and mechanical hardware. Strong attention to detail, safety, and quality. High school diploma or GED preferred; vocational training or mechanical background is a plus. Products Fabrication Assembly Supports:
