Job Description

Our client is a growing Irish owned company, based in Kildare, delivering high-quality products and services into the construction industry across Europe. They are seeking a capable and enthusiastic Assistant Accountant to join their finance team. As the Assistant Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting financial operations and ensuring smooth day-to-day accounting processes.This is a full time permanent role. After the probation period, there may be the potential to work 1 day from home. The other 4 days would be based on their site in Kildare.Responsibilities:Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including posting invoices, matching purchase orders, and scheduling paymentsPrepare sales orders, issue invoices, and follow up on collectionsPost entries to the general ledger and assist with reconciliationsSupport VAT compliance and Intrastat returnsAssist with invoice discounting operationsIssue quotations and documentation for clients as requiredHelp coordinate logistics and supplier deliveries where neededMaintain accurate financial records and assist with auditsPerform other finance and administrative tasks as requested by managementRequirements:Minimum 6 years’ experience in a similar book keeper, accounts technician, assistant accountant type roleExperience in construction/industrial sectors is advantageousStrong initiative, teamwork, and excellent communication skillsMust have excellent attention to detail and work to deadlinesFor more info Niamh Cregg0719149732niamh.cregg@collinsmcnicholas.ie
