The ward caters for patients above the age of 85, with multiple co-morbidities including Alzheimer’s & Dementia, Delirium, Behavioural and Psycological Symptoms of Dementia (BPSD). The unit boasts dedicated staff, great teamwork and regular learning opportunities.What You'll Be DoingProvision of support to the nursing team in order to deliver a high standard of care to NSLHD patients.People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.Candidates Will Need To Meet The Following CriteriaCurrently enrolled in second or third year of a Bachelor of Nursing or degree deemed appropriate; or current enrolment in Diploma of Nursing (HLT54121) with evidence of completion of Block 1; or completion of HLT33115 Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Assisting in Nursing Work in Acute Care).Demonstrated, effective written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills.Demonstrated ability to work in a team.Need more information?
