Assistant Manager - Ghana

Job Title: Asst. Manager – GhanaReporting to : Sales Manager - Ghana & KenyaBased out of: Accra, GhanaJob Summary: We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated Asst. Manager to spearhead Hettich’s growth in Ghana. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the wood or interior industry, with specific expertise in furniture fittings and ironmongery. The successful candidate will be responsible for independently developing the Ghana market as well as Ivory Coast market, establishing and managing distribution channels, and overseeing project execution to drive business growth.Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement strategic plans to establish and expand Hettich’s presence in Ghana.Create and manage a robust distribution network across Ghana.Identify new business opportunities, including key projects and partnerships within the furniture and interior industry.Maintain and grow relationships with clients, contractors, and industry stakeholders.Provide technical expertise and product knowledge in furniture fittings and ironmongery to clients and partners.Monitor market trends, competitors, and customer needs to adapt strategies accordingly.Coordinate with cross-functional teams to achieve sales targets and project milestones.Ensure operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness in all market activities.Represent Hettich at industry events, exhibitions, and other relevant platforms.Ideal Candidate Profile: Proven experience in the wood, interior, or related industry.In-depth knowledge of furniture fittings and ironmongery products.Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Strong network and established contacts within the Ghanaian furniture, construction, or interior industry.Ability to develop and manage distribution channels and execute projects effectively.Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Results-driven with a strategic mindset.Fluency in English & French; additional local languages are a plus.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher in Wood Technology, Interior Design, Business Administration, or related fields.5+ years of experience in a similar role or industry in Ghana or West Africa.Proven track record of market development and project management.
