Are you seeking new and exciting career opportunities?Here is what you need to know about the job:Position : Assistant Merchandise ManagerJob Family : MerchandisingGrade : 4VACANCY NUMBERJob DescriptionsAssist in establishing and enhancing business relationships with customers through provision of quality customer service to maximize business growthAssist in supervising the team’s merchandising activities in the entire order process to ensure customer satisfaction and on-time deliveryProvide input on product design to meet customers’ buying objectivesAssist in building and maintaining a strong vendor network for product development and productionAssist in supervising the team to enhance service delivery and operation efficiencyManage project from Sourcing, Product Development till ProductionBuild and maintain a strong local and regional vendor network to meet customers’ current and future business needsProvide solutions and support to ensure smooth production and manufacturing processSupervise Merchandising Team in the entire order process to ensure customer satisfaction and on-time deliveryManage Product Development and Production to meet customers’ requirements and compliance standardsIdentify local and global market trendsAnalyze and research on material trend seasonal analysis reportsSource and negotiate with suppliers to achieve competitive prices, deals & termsDevelop solid network with suppliers' and maintain long term partnership with UK customers, mills and factoriesMonitor supplier performance and bulk fabric quality standard controlInvolve in the product development process to ensure that products meet customers' quality and budget requirementsParticipate in price negotiation and liaison with vendors or suppliersPerform other duties as assigned by ManagementRequirementsExperience in home decoration and EU marketDiploma or Degree in International Economics and Trade or related discipline preferredMinimum 8 Years' Relevant ExperienceStrong product and material knowledge with good development skills, and familiar with merchandising and product development processAble to work under pressure, result oriented, excellent communication skills, self-motivated, responsive and detail mindedAbility to build strong relationships with the team as a good team leader, communicate effectively with internal and external partiesWell organized individual, able to manage multiple tasks, strong problem solving skills, able to meet deadlinesGood command of written and spoken English, and MandarinLiterate in Microsoft office programsOccasional travel is requiredInterested parties please apply in confidence with full career details, current and expected salary, contact details and quote the position on the application letter.All information provided by applicants will be treated in strict confidentiality and will only be used for recruitment purposes at Li & Fung.
