The Projects Engineer plays a crucial role in overseeing on-site progress, resolving technical issues, and maintaining clear documentation, contributing to the successful and timely completion of projects while supporting the overall goals of the project team.ResponsibilitiesPNG Projects Engineer - O3Project Execution And SupportAssist in the execution of PNG, including site preparation, equipment installation, and commissioning, ensuring all tasks are completed according to project plans and timelines.Collaborate with the Projects Lead to ensure that all engineering activities meet design specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.Conduct on-site inspections and assessments to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and ensure that all work complies with technical specifications.Prepare and update detailed engineering drawings, technical documents, and project plans, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure the timely delivery of materials and services required for project completion.Technical Support And Problem SolvingProvide technical support to the project team, troubleshooting and resolving engineering issues that arise during the project lifecycle.Analyze and interpret technical data, drawings, and specifications to support decision-making and ensure the successful completion of project tasks.Implement engineering solutions to address on-site challenges, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines and budget.Assist in the development and implementation of engineering best practices, focusing on improving efficiency, safety, and quality in project execution.Participate in technical meetings and reviews, providing input and recommendations to optimize project outcomes.Quality Control And AssuranceMonitor and enforce quality control measures throughout all phases of the project, ensuring that all work meets the required standards and specifications.Conduct regular inspections and tests on materials, equipment, and systems to verify their compliance with project requirements and industry regulations.Document and report any quality issues or non-conformities, working with the project team to implement corrective actions and prevent recurrence.Assist in the development of quality assurance plans and procedures, ensuring that they are effectively implemented and adhered to during project execution.Safety And ComplianceEnsure that all engineering activities comply with local, regional, and national safety regulations and industry standards, minimizing the risk of accidents or incidents.Participate in safety audits and inspections, identifying potential hazards and implementing measures to mitigate risks.Provide input on safety protocols and procedures, ensuring that they are followed by all team members and contractors during project execution.Assist in the preparation of safety documentation, including risk assessments, method statements, and safety plans, ensuring they are complete and accurate.Documentation And ReportingMaintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including engineering drawings, technical specifications, progress reports, and inspection records.Prepare regular project status reports for the Projects Lead, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and any areas requiring attention.Assist in the preparation of as-built documentation upon project completion, ensuring that all records reflect the final state of the project.Ensure that all documentation is properly filed and accessible, supporting future project reviews and audits.Collaboration And CommunicationWork closely with other engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle.Participate in project meetings, providing updates on engineering activities and contributing to discussions on project planning and execution.Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and vendors to resolve any technical issues and ensure alignment on project objectives and timelines.Provide clear and concise technical information to non-engineering team members, ensuring they understand the requirements and constraints of the project.Continuous Improvement And LearningStay informed about the latest developments in engineering practices, technologies, and industry standards relevant to PNG or CNG projects.Identify opportunities for improving engineering processes and practices, proposing and implementing changes that enhance project performance.Participate in training and professional development activities to enhance technical skills and knowledge, ensuring continued growth and contribution to the project
