Purpose & Overall Relevance For The OrganizationThe mission of the Assistant Manager Inbound Operations is to ensure the smooth operations within SCM Department in all aspects of related functions, and to enhance the processes to achieve the business service requirement.Key ResponsibilitiesOperations ManagementCoordinate daily inbound deliveries with internal teams and external vendors, ensuring timely and accurate shipment tracking and system updatesProvide inbound forecasts and business updates to logistics service providers and internal relevant team, while addressing delivery issues such as delays or damages with corrective actionsManage inbound performance metrics including lead times, accuracy, and cost, and collaborate with procurement, finance, and logistics partners on rate quotations and billingSupport continuous improvement by reviewing factory networks and delivery terms, generating operational guidelines, and implementing solutions for special business requirementsFinancialEnsure timely and accurate verification of inbound billing, duty payments, and cost analysis reporting to support financial and operational needs.Oversee the claim resolution process to ensure issues are addressed promptly and successfullySystem and ProcessesApply knowledge of company and departmental policies to resolve operational issues and ensure accurate tracking and timely recording of freight informationProduce reports and business updates efficiently while operating across key systems such as Power BI, AFS, HUB Light, TCM, Ariba, and Infor NexusSupport inbound-related projects through follow-up coordination and user acceptance testing for system enhancementsKey RelationshipsInternalSCM cross functional team: China Distribution Center, OmniChannel Fulfillment & Deployment,Internal cross functional team: Sourcing, Finance, Tech, Global Product Supply, Global Logistics, Global Customs, Legal, Brands etc.ExternalLogistics service providers, factories, system vendor etc.Knowledge, Skills And AbilitiesKnowledge / ExperienceStrong understanding of Inbound LogisticsExperience in Logistics process optimization and project management is a plusHands on experience of SAP MM flow knowledge in Supply Chain functionPC/Language/Other SkillsStrong analytical and presentation skills with proficiency in Excel/PowerPoint/BI toolsExcellent written and oral communication skills in EnglishCompetencies/AttributesAbility to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication and problem-solving abilitiesSelf-motivated and able to work independentlyIntegrityTeam workDetail-orientedStress proofRequisite Education And Experience / Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree, preferably with a supply chain management, logistics or related background4+ years’ experience in inbound logistics from FMCG or retail industriesadidas celebrates diversity, supports inclusiveness and encourages individual expression in our workplace.
