By delivering efficient energy solutions and pioneering innovative water resource management, we enable the growth of vibrant, future-ready communities.Job DescriptionThis role will be key in supporting the development and execution of the Low-Carbon Industrial Park (LCIP) strategy, aimed at reducing the carbon footprint of urban development projects. The role involves establishing and tracking appropriate environmental performance indicators, coordinating the design of a certification framework, and engaging stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational sustainability objectives.ResponsibilitiesPerformance Management Establish, track, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for environmental performance. Conduct research and analysis to support decision-making on low-carbon solutions, carbon management practices, and sustainable urban development trends. Certification & Standards Assist in the development and operationalization of a certification program tailored for LCIP. Coordinate with consultants, industry partners, and certifying bodies to ensure compliance with relevant standards. Strategy & Implementation Support the execution of the LCIP strategy to achieve carbon reduction and sustainability targets across development projects. Provide input to policies, guidelines, and frameworks to strengthen the organization’s sustainable asset management capabilities. Collaborate with business development and asset management trams to identify opportunities for decarbonization across the urban development portfolio. Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to ensure project alignment with sustainability objectives. Support the preparation of internal reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate progress and outcomes of LCIP initiatives. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Sustainability, Urban Planning, or a related discipline. A Master’s degree will be an advantage. Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in sustainability, carbon management, certification, or environmental management. Familiarity with certification schemes (e.g., LEED, BREEAM, Green Mark, EDGE, or equivalent) is required. Exposure to sustainability/ESG reporting frameworks is advantageous but not mandatory. Candidates with practical knowledge on the application of environmental attributes e.g. RECs, carbon credits are preferred. Strong understanding of carbon management principles, sustainable urban development, and environmental performance measurement. Ability to define and monitor KPIs, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Good project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple workstreams effectively. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Ability to articulate technical concepts to audience of non-technical background effectively to achieve buy-in Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
