TITLE: Assistant MerchandiserREPORTS TO: ManagerLOCATION: Ha NoiSUMMARY:Responsible for managing the procurement and inventory of fashion trims used in clothing and accessory production.This role involves working closely with design teams, suppliers, and manufacturers to ensure that all trims meet quality standards, are delivered on time, and align with the design specifications of the fashion collections.Key Responsibilities:1. Procurement and Ordering:- Identify and source various trims and other decorative elements as per customer requirements.- Place orders with suppliers and vendors, ensuring accurate specifications, quantities, and delivery timelines.- Maintain and update an inventory of trims, tracking usage and reordering supplies as necessary.2. Supplier Management:- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.- Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.- Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to orders, including quality concerns or delivery delays.3. Collaboration:- Work closely with customer, factories and Viet Nam teams to understand trim requirements for various projects.- Provide advice and recommendations on trim options that align with design concepts and production capabilities.4. Quality Control:- Inspect and evaluate the quality of trims upon receipt to ensure they meet company standards and specifications.- Address and resolve any quality issues with suppliers promptly.5. Documentation and Reporting:- Maintain accurate records of all orders, deliveries, and inventory levels.- Prepare and submit regular reports on trim inventory, procurement status, and supplier performance.6. Trend Analysis and Market Research:- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging trim styles to provide input on new and innovative options. Better costing for customer etc..- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and potential improvements in trim sourcing.7. Administrative Tasks:- Handle administrative duties related to the ordering process, including creating purchase orders, processing invoices, and managing budgets.Qualifications:· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Textile Design, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.· Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in fashion trims ordering, sourcing, or a similar role within the fashion industry.· Skills:- Strong understanding of different types of fashion trims and their applications.- Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.- Proficient in using procurement software and inventory management systems.- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.Preferred Attributes:· Familiarity with fashion design processes and terminology.· Knowledge of current fashion trends and industry developments.· Experience with international suppliers and global sourcing.Contact: 0989715947 (Xuan Quynh)
