Job Description

Responsibilities JOB DESCRIPTION Provide technical and managerial guidance and direction to the Inspector of Works (IOWs).Coordinate with site personnel to ensure all construction activities align with project drawings and specifications and meet the required quality standards.Monitor project progress, identifying potential delays, and recommending mitigation measures with assistance from the IOWs.Review and ensure compliance with Quality Assurance Plans and HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, and Environment) Plans prepared by the Contractor.Evaluate method statements, proposed materials, shop drawings, and traffic management plans submitted by the Contractor for site operations with the assistance of the IOWs.Respond to the Contractor's technical inquiries and coordinate with design engineers for any required design changes.Review and maintain various project reports, including Site Diaries, Monthly Progress Reports, QAQC (Quality Assurance Quality Control) Reports, HSSE Reports, Routine Maintenance Reports, Traffic Management Safety Reports, and Incident Reports.Inform and coordinate with the Employer’s Representative should the Contractor fail to comply with the Specifications and Construction Drawings and adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations.Verify the Joint Measurement Sheet(s) for work completed by the Contractor for their interim claims.Attend and participate in coordination, progress, and technical meetingsRequirementsBachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.10-15 years of proven working experience in construction site supervision, ideally in highway and bridge projects.Experience in utilities relocation works and possessing QSHE or Traffic Safety certification from an accredited body(s) would be an added value.Registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia.Solid understanding of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and quality assurance processes.Knowledge of Malaysian construction regulations and safety standards.About UsUEM Edgenta is the region’s leading Asset Management & Infrastructure Solutions company.
