As an Underwriting & Placement Specialist, you’ll play a key role in supporting our Account Managers by coordinating renewals, managing carrier relationships, and ensuring our clients receive accurate, competitive benefit solutions.Submit daily marketing activity reports and pull monthly renewal lists for assigned Account Managers.Request updated rates, benefits, and carrier information quarterly to keep client data current. Maintain organized marketing spreadsheets, carrier comparison tools, and renewal presentations.Prepare and send renewal presentations and proposals on behalf of Account ManagersAssist with quoting and marketing requests to support timely and accurate submissionsParticipate in carrier meetings, staying informed on updates to ensure presentations and plans reflect current offerings. Collaborate with your Manager and team to maintain exceptional client service, compliance, and confidentiality.RequirementsCollege degree preferred, high school diploma or equivalent required.Agency or company background in Employee Benefits.Experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office programs especially Excel and PowerPoint.Experience with Vertafore a plus.Appropriate state insurance licenses and continuing education preferred.Works effectively and relates well with others including superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the company in a professional manner.Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively.High level of organizational ability with attention to detail.
