Singlife was subsequently acquired by Sumitomo Life in March 2024, one of Japan’s leading life insurers, which valued Singlife at S$4.6 billion, making the transaction one of the largest insurance deals in Southeast Asia.Key Appointments:Oversight of Prophet Modelling for Singlife Limited.Key ResponsibilitiesDrive Prophet model optimization (including coding, runtime improvement as well as enhancement in modelling methodology).Oversee the modelling of new products into Prophet, as well as enhancement of Prophet model due to inforce management initiatives.Responsible for robust Prophet management and governance practices.Regular maintenance/review of both Prophet deterministic and ALS model.Key Decisions within the Role:Manage the modelling of new and existing products and ensure proper model governance.RequirementsExperienceAt least 7 years of actuarial experience in Prophet modelling and life valuation/capital management. Experience in Prophet ALS modelling and model management is preferred.strong knowledge/experience of Singapore Risk Based Capital 2. Experience in ICS is an advantage.Possessing leadership experience in managing a small team.Self-driven and able to motivate team members to deliver projects on a timely basis.Great teamwork and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders including Finance, IT, regulators, auditors and group office.EducationAcademic: Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science (preferred)Professional Certification(s): Fellow of Society of Actuaries, Institute and Faculty of Actuaries or Institute of Actuaries Australia (preferred)
