Lead the change on how consumers buy and customers sell our categories As Associate Director Category & Channel Development, you shape the strategic agenda for growth across our categories and channels. As a key member of the Commercial Development MT, you play a central role in strengthening world-class category & channel growth capabilities across our commercial organization. You lead a team of strong Category Management experts and ensure our commercial approach is disciplined, insight-led and future-ready.In this role you lead our NL Category Vision in close collaboration with franchise partners, customers and Sales, ensuring it is tailored for our market and embedded across the commercial functions. You steer the 3-year Channel Strategy, setting clear focus on where to play, how to win and what success looks like for each channel. The Category Management team operates as a strategic and objective partner to Key Accounts, identifying growth opportunities through data-driven recommendations on range, space and fair share of visibility on shelf. Together with our customers, we shape the store of the future and execute across our category growth opportunities.Your Key ResponsibilitiesCategory Strategy: Co-create and scale our Category Vision with our customers for future success, in strong alignment with internal stakeholders and sales. Channel Strategy: Own the “Where to Play” roadmap; defining how, where and with whom we win, and what future success looks like per channel in close collaboration with sales. Range & Space Management: Make sure we earn our fair share of distribution and visibility (SOVI), and support Key Account teams with practical tools and objective advice.Capability Building: Equip teams with next-gen tools, data and AI to drive smarter decisions and elevate conversations with customers.Strategic Partnerships: Align brand, shopper and customer agendas and build external influence that unlocks value.Research & Innovation: Launch future-forward initiatives like “Shelf of the Future” and secure joint business planning with customers.Leadership & Culture: Lead your team of 14 category management experts. An expert who is energized by consumer behaviour, retail trends and data, and who can translate these insights into clear strategic direction.You bring:A deep understanding of FMCG and category fundamentals10+ years proven experience in both Home and Away-from-Home environments (retailer or supplier side)Commercial Sales experience is a strong plusA clear, inspiring communication style and strong storytelling skillsExperience leading change across functions, countries or culturesA digitally-savvy mindset, and a love for turning data into actionFluency in English and Dutch What You GetWhen you bring this level of impact, we reward accordingly.
