As Genmab scales and accelerates its pipeline, Procurement plays a pivotal role in driving time-to-market for new therapies through optimized sourcing strategies, digital solutions, and strategic partnerships.Our vision is to build a best-in-class, data-driven procurement organization that supports the fast-moving and complex needs of a global biotech leader.As a Category Lead, you will play a key role in shaping and executing strategic sourcing initiatives within the commercial area. You will be responsible for developing category strategies, leading supplier negotiations, and managing end-to-end procurement processes. Working closely with cross-functional stakeholders, you will ensure that sourcing activities align with business needs while delivering cost efficiencies, compliance, and value.You will join a Global Procurement team and report to the Senior Director, Global Procurement, Commercial Services. The postion is an onsite postion in Denmark.ResponsibilitiesCategory Strategy DevelopmentDefine and implement sourcing strategies for the commercial categoriesAnalyze internal demand and external market trends to set long-term category directionIdentify opportunities for cost savings, supplier consolidation, and value generationSupplier ManagementLead supplier selection, negotiation, and performance managementBuild strong relationships with strategic suppliersMonitor KPIs and SLAs, conduct regular reviews, and manage riskStakeholder EngagementPartner with internal stakeholders to understand business needsAct as a trusted partner to business units on sourcing and commercial mattersAlign procurement strategies with business objectivesRFPs And Contract ManagementPrepare and run (RFP, RFI) processesEvaluate bids and conduct negotiationsManage contracts from creation to execution, ensuring compliance and tracking milestonesSpend Analysis and ReportingAnalyze category spend, identify trends, and track savingsProvide regular updates to leadership on category performanceUtilize procurement tools and dashboards for visibility and decision-makingProcurement SupportSupport ad hoc procurement projects across the organizationContribute to cross-category initiatives, including process improvements and supplier evaluationsAssist other category teams as neededRequirementsBachelor’s degree or equivalent and 8+ years of industry related experience or 10+ years of Strategic Procurement experience, preferably from Pharma/BiotechStrong knowledge of category management and strategic sourcing.Proven ability to develop and execute category strategiesSkilled negotiator with experience securing commercially valuable agreementsExperience working in global and virtual cross-functional teams..Proficient in spend analysis, market insight interpretation, and supplier performance managementEffective stakeholder engagement skills across functions and geographiesProficiency in e-procurement platforms (SAP, Coupa, or similar)Fluent in English; both oral and writtenAbout YouYou are genuinely passionate about our purposeYou bring precision and excellence to all that you doYou believe in our rooted-in-science approach to problem-solvingYou are a generous collaborator who can work in teams with a broad spectrum of backgroundsYou take pride in enabling the best work of others on the teamYou can grapple with the unknown and be innovativeYou have experience working in a fast-growing, dynamic company (or a strong desire to)You work hard and are not afraid to have a little fun while you do so!LocationsGenmab maximizes the efficiency of an agile working environment, when possible, for the betterment of employee work-life balance.
