Attention all Fire Safety Engineers!E-LAB Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Associate / Senior Fire Safety Engineer to join our growing team in Sydney.As an Associate / Senior Fire Safety Engineer, you will play a critical role in managing and delivering fire engineering projects across various scopes. You will be responsible for providing technical leadership, liaising with clients, and mentoring junior engineers while ensuring the highest standards of fire engineering documentation and analysis.Key Responsibilities:Independently manage fire engineering projects, leading a team of project engineers to deliver contracted outcomes.Provide detailed technical fire engineering input from design through to project completion.Represent E-LAB at external project meetings, both virtually and in-person, working closely with the design team.Mentor and offer leadership to graduate and junior fire engineers across NSW.Prepare and deliver project proposals, maintaining communication throughout the tender process.Actively contribute to the development and growth of the NSW fire engineering team.Coordinate multi-disciplinary scopes across E-LAB’s specialty teams for seamless project delivery.Perform thorough quality control of outgoing documentation, supporting ongoing learning and development for project engineers.Ensure timely delivery of fire engineering documentation and technical analysis while maintaining strong client relationships.Represent E-LAB in business development activities, promoting the company’s values and services.Conduct site inspections, prepare inspection reports, and mentor project engineers on-site.Review design practitioner drawing sets against declared fire engineering documentation and provide final documentation to clients.Stay up-to-date with industry trends and maintain fire engineering expertise and education.Provide guidance to junior engineers through performance solution templates and fire engineering solutions.Is This Role Right For You?You have a recognised tertiary qualification in fire engineering or a similar field.You possess extensive knowledge of NSW legislation, the National Construction Code, Australian Standards, the AFEG, and other fire engineering-related literature.You are technically proficient in fire science and preparing fire engineering documentation.You have experience with FRNSW referrals, communication, and feedback.You are skilled in preparing and evaluating fire and smoke modelling using FDS.You hold membership with relevant professional institutions or Engineers Australia.You are Chartered or listed on the NER, or currently pursuing Chartership or National Engineering Registration through Engineers Australia or an equivalent accredited body.You are a NSW Certifier – Fire Safety (previously C10) accredited fire engineer or are awaiting assessment to competently sign off projects in compliance with the NSW EP&A Reg 2021.You are a NSW fire engineering Design Practitioner or awaiting assessment to sign off Class 2, 3, and 9c projects in accordance with NSW DBPA 2020.You are willing to travel across NSW to undertake site inspections.Why Join Us?At E-LAB Consulting, we are committed to providing our team with opportunities for growth and development, a collaborative work environment, and the chance to work on diverse and exciting projects.
