Programming Associate Producer are obsessed with writing that perfect headline and creating that perfect presentation for CNN's powerful homepages. This position requires a passion for connecting audiences with compelling journalism and the ability to think like readers, watchers, and listeners to help connect disparate digital dots for the benefit of global audiences second-by-second, minute-by-minute. Your Role AccountabilitiesAssist Senior Producer in curation of daily contentManage updates to story headlines and imagery on core platformsKeep an eye on social trends and digital conversationsExperiment regularly to boost traffic and conversion ratesWrite accurate headlines and alerts with speed and audience appealExercise fast-paced news judgment and CMS workCreate compelling digital packages for distribution across multiple platformsSuggest and help execute programming strategiesHelp execute projects while monitoring audience data and optimizing contentParticipate in post-mortem and conversations about improving programmingQualifications & Experience2+ years of related experienceExcellent writing and text editing skillsAbility to work quickly under pressure and collaborate closely with othersKnowledge of digital content in multiple forms (articles, videos, galleries, social content, interactives, podcasts, etc.)Experience with audience analytics and A/B testing preferredStrong feedback communication skills and collaborative mindsetFlexibility with hours and willingness to work weekends, including occasional nights for breaking news/major events.How We Get Things Done…This last bit is probably the most important!
