Job Description

As an Associate Scientist, you’ll support the development and optimisation of microbial processes to produce novel therapeutic proteins, i.e. antibodies, from lab to pilot scale (250 mL–200 L)The following information provides an overview of the skills, qualities, and qualifications needed for this role.You’ll work on a range of experiments, analyse data, and contribute to continuous process improvement — helping to deliver high-quality microbial products.Key Responsibilities Develop, optimise, and troubleshoot microbial fermentation processes Operate bioreactors and pilot-scale systems e.g. AMBR 250 Design and execute experiments, record and analyse data Present findings to colleagues and contribute to technical discussions Maintain accurate documentation and ensure safe lab practicesAbout You BSc/BEng (or equivalent) in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemical Engineering, or related field.
