DescriptionTitle: Assistant Athletic Director –Compliance CoordinatorEmp. Status: Full-TimeFair Labor Standards Act Status: ExemptReports To: Associate Athletic Director-SWAPurpose: To uphold the qualities, principles and standards of Wagner College, the Northeast Conference and NCAA. Create a positive working environment as well as generate revenue, fundraise and put a team on the playing field that the Wagner community can be proud of. To assist in the process in recruiting quality student-athletes to the campus.Duties & ResponsibilitiesEssential Functions:Keep faculty, administrators and student-athletes informed of proposed practice and competition schedules for each semesterAssist in coordinating student-athletes academic experience (registration, study tables, class excuses due to athletic competition)Develop and Coordinate NCAA Champs ProgramOversee NCAA Compliance initiatives and serve as institutional Compliance CoordinatorKeep abreast of conference and NCAA regulations and attending required meetings and workshops to ensure NEC & NCAA ComplianceProvide leadership and supervision in the compliance with rules and regulations by coaches, friends and supporters of the College Monitor all recruiting, eligibility, NCAA reporting, financial aid, playing and practice seasons, and NIL.Brief Overall DescriptionResponsibilities include overseeing all aspects of student-athlete NCAA Compliance Office. Certain responsibilities include but are not limited to supervision of the Compliance coordinator responsibilities include monitoring compliance systems, rules education, recruiting, eligibility, NCAA reporting, financial aid, playing and practice seasons, and NIL.Non-Essential FunctionsGame Day AttendanceAttend all Staff MeetingsAttend all College Open Houses when necessarySupervisory Responsibilities1 Graduate Assistants – Assistants for Academic ComplianceQualificationsWork Experience: 3 Years Experience in a Related FieldEducation: Undergraduate Degree Required / Masters Degree PreferredCertifications: n/aLicenses: n/aDesired Work Traits: Hard working, self sufficient, honest and cooperativeComputer Skills: Microsoft Office / Email & Internet proficientCommunication/Interpersonal Skills: The ability to communicate affectively with alumni, colleagues, and student athletes of diverse backgrounds.Special ConsiderationsWorking Conditions: Positive Office environment with interaction between administration, student-athletes, coaches and alumni.Travel: As needed per sport requirementsHours: Successful candidate must be able to work select weekends as necessary based on their official job dutiesThis position requires an individual of high moral character. In accordance with the NCAA Bylaw 11.1, any athletic department employee who is found in violation of NCAA regulations shall be subject to disciplinary or corrective action as set forth in the provisions of the NCAA enforcement procedures. This may include suspension with out pay, or termination if the employee is found to be involved in deliberate and serious violations of NCAA regulations.
