AutoCAD Draftsman - Electrical (Switchgear)

Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced AutoCAD Draftsman – Electrical (Switchgear) to join our engineering and design team. The ideal candidate must have prior experience in the Switchgear Manufacturing industry and possess strong technical expertise in AutoCAD 2D, 3D, and E-PLAN for preparing detailed electrical drawings, layouts, and schematics for LV/MV switchgear panels, control panels, and power distribution systems.Key Responsibilities:•            Prepare detailed electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, single-line diagrams (SLDs), and panel layouts for LV/MV switchgear, MDBs, SMDBs, MCCs, control panels, and distribution boards.•            Develop 2D and 3D AutoCAD drawings for switchgear assemblies, busbar layouts, and enclosure designs.•            Create and update E-PLAN electrical schematics and documentation for manufacturing and project execution.•            Collaborate with design engineers to ensure drawings meet technical specifications and IEC/IEC standards.•            Revise and maintain drawing archives, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and revision control according to project changes.•            Coordinate with production, quality, and project teams to ensure smooth transfer of design data to manufacturing.•            Support in preparing documentation for client approvals, panel GA drawings, and as-built drawings.•            Ensure all drawings comply with company quality standards, safety codes, and project requirements.Requirements:•            Diploma / B.Tech / DAE in Electrical or relevant discipline.•            3–5+ years of experience as an AutoCAD Draftsman in Switchgear / Electrical Panel Manufacturing.•            Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D & 3D and E-PLAN Electric P8 is prefer.•            Strong knowledge of switchgear components, electrical schematics, busbar systems, and panel design principles.•            Familiarity with IEC, ISO, and relevant electrical standards.•            Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.•            Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.•            Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
