B2B Business Analyst

We are looking for an experienced Senior Technical Business Analyst to join an athleisure retail company in Canada for a contract opportunity. You will work closely with business stakeholders and technology teams to create both business, functional, and technical requirements for features and functionality to support our internal business needs. Your role will involve translating business strategy into roadmaps, troubleshooting production issues, and ensuring solutions are maintainable, extensible, and secure.Key Responsibilities:- Work as the technical leader for the product(s) your team delivers. You will be counted on as a leader in your technology space, contributing to all areas of development and operations (pre-production to production).- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.- Mentor analysts and provide technical leadership, ensuring a high standard of requirement documentation, performance, and reliability.- Conduct requirement reviews, design discussions, and drive best practices for software design, CI/CD pipelines, commerce security, and cloud architecture.- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues.- Contribute to architectural decision-making and ensure solutions are maintainable, extensible, and secure.- Dedicate a fair amount of time to the planning and discovery of tools and practices inside your given area of expertise. You will apply that knowledge by working closely with Staff Engineers to promote platform-level changeRequired Skills & Experience- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.- 8+ years of experience in business analysis or a related field.- Strong experience with business analysis tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and MS Office Suite.- Proficiency in creating business requirements documents (BRDs), functional requirements documents (FRDs), and user stories.- Experience with Agile, DevOps, and SRE methodologies.- Advanced understanding of web technologies (HTTP, headers, Cookies, Caching, etc.).- Demonstrated experience developing solutions for retail or eCommerce businesses.- Hands-on experience with CI/CD principles and best practices.- Strong communication skills, capable of working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to deliver clear, actionable solutions- Experience with B2B platforms and commerce tools.- Familiarity with system and architectural patterns, especially monoliths vs. microservices.- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools, with the ability to derive insights that inform business strategy and development priorities.- Knowledge of cloud computing platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.- Experience with database technologies such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.- Strong understanding of software testing principles and basic database management
