About UsTeleMedC is a diagnostic imaging solutions company using sophisticated retinal imaging. Our primary objective is to provide low-cost diagnostic solutions for point-of-care screening and virtual management of eye and chronic diseases throughout the world. We plan to bring portable hardware along with highly sophisticated automated local and cloud-based software worldwide. At this stage of development, we are focusing on primary care providers, community clinics and pharmacies to deliver low-cost, fully automated, portable retinal image grading technologies for virtual medical consultations, screening, monitoring and prevention of sight-threatening diseases and chronic diseases that can be diagnosed using retinal imaging such as Diabetic Retinopathy, Glaucoma, Macular Degeneration, Cataract, Stroke, Hypertension, etc.The RoleThis role is critical to the effective delivery of applications, products and technology to TeleMedC customers and technology partners. You will work directly with the VP of Technology, Product Manager(s), and the Engineering Team to implement new product features and capabilities.What We’re Looking For3+ years of professional experience building and maintaining production softwareStrong backend-leaning full-stack experience with Python (Django), Node.js, and modern frontend tech such as React and TypeScriptHands-on experience designing and building microservices and distributed systemsSolid understanding of testing principles, with experience writing unit, integration, and API testsAwareness of secure coding practices and standardsStrong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databasesExperience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or similar)Hands-on experience with Docker and infrastructure-as-code tooling (Terraform preferred)Practical experience with AWS services (ECS, Lambda, RDS, S3, API Gateway) and cloud-native patternsWhat You’ll DoCollaborate with a cross-functional team to deliver secure, high-quality product featuresDesign, build, and maintain scalable microservices and backend APIs using Python/Django and Node.jsWork with Docker-based services and contribute to our Terraform codebaseImprove CI/CD workflows, automated testing, and release processesDeploy, monitor, and optimise microservices running on AWSWrite clean, maintainable, well-documented, and well-tested codeParticipate in sprint planning, technical discussions, and architecture decisionsOur OfficeToowong, Qld, 4066(Note: This position requires working at the office rather than remotely.)Contacthr-brisbane@telemedc.com
