Expressions of Interest - Senior Project Engineer

G2N is a project delivery company supporting civil and transport infrastructure projects throughout Western Australia. We take a practical, solutions-focused approach and maintain a strong local presence across the South West.We are taking expressions of interest for an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our South West team and support the delivery of road and civil infrastructure projects. This role is suited to someone with solid infrastructure experience who is looking to take on broader responsibilities and progress toward Project Management.ABOUT THE ROLEThis position is based out of the G2N Cowaramup office, and the successful candidate must reside within approximately 50 km of Busselton to effectively support pre-contracts, project delivery, client engagement and site activities.You will be responsible for technical coordination, programming, pre-contracts input, subcontractor management, quality management and commercial support across assigned projects. The role includes leading packages of work and supporting the regional Director to ensure safe, timely and compliant delivery.WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FORTechnical ExperienceStrong background in roads infrastructure (MRWA-style works highly regarded).Experience with bridges, packages of work, or coordination of minor contractors.Proficiency in MS Project and/or Primavera P6 for program development and tracking.Pre-contracts and estimating experience including quantity take-offs, pricing support and/or bid development.Ability to interpret and apply engineering drawings, specifications and relevant standards.Project Delivery CapabilityExperience preparing QA documentation, managing MDRs and handling TQs, RFIs and project documentation.Understanding of commercial requirements including subcontractor coordination, variations and progress claims.Ability to review and analyse cost, schedule, risk and progress data.Sound understanding of construction administration and quality processes.Professional AttributesStrong written and verbal communication skills.Organised and able to manage multiple tasks with consistent follow-through.Able to work independently within a small team while collaborating effectively with clients and contractors.Motivated to continue developing toward a Project Manager role.QualificationsDegree in Civil Engineering (or related discipline).Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a Senior Project Engineer role and a minimum of 10 years' experience in civil or infrastructure deliveryWestern Australian C Class driver’s licence.Residency ideally within 50 km of Busselton.WHY JOIN G2N?You will be part of a supportive South West team with exposure to meaningful regional projects and opportunities to advance into Project Management.
