Backup and Storage Administrator

Responsibilities:Manage and monitor backup infrastructure ensuring data protection and retention compliance.Implement, test, and document backup and recovery procedures.Administer enterprise storage systems including capacity planning and replication.Troubleshoot performance and connectivity issues in SAN/NAS environments.Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies for data management and backup optimization.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent practical experience.4+ years in backup and storage administration across multi-vendor environments.Strong understanding of enterprise storage architectures and backup methodologies.Technical Skills:Backup software: Veeam, Commvault, Dell NetWorker, AcronisStorage systems: Dell EMC, NetApp, HPE 3PAR, QNAPSAN/NAS management and zoningReplication and disaster recovery configurationScripting and automation for backup verification (PowerShell/Python)Experience:5–8 years managing large-scale enterprise backup and storage platforms.Certifications:Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE)Dell EMC Proven Professional (ISCA / Specialist)NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA)ITIL 4 Foundation
