Asia Pacific (Phuket, Bangkok, Bintan, Buahan, Maldives)Job Purpose: To provide strategic and operational leadership in managing human resources across multiple properties within the Asia Pacific region, ensuring alignment with corporate standards, local employment laws, and each property's unique operational needs. The role focuses on talent development, workforce planning, compliance, and creating a strong culture that supports the organization's business goals. Key Responsibilities: Strategic HR LeadershipLead and align HR strategies across all regional properties in line with corporate vision and local business objectives. Advise General Managers and property HR leaders on HR best practices, employment law, and compliance.
Serve as a strategic business partner to the Group HR and Operations teams to support long-term workforce planning and talent development. Talent ManagementAssess current and future talent needs across the region and guide recruitment strategy to attract qualified candidates. Oversee leadership development, succession planning, and training initiatives to build a high-performance culture. Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives across all regional locations. Compensation & ComplianceMonitor and evaluate compensation and benefits trends across markets to ensure competitiveness and internal equity. Ensure compliance with all local labor laws and regulations.
Provide guidance on complex employee relations or labor cases in collaboration with local HR leaders. Operational OversightRegularly review HR operations at each property, ensuring consistency and efficiency in processes. Support the development, roll-out, and compliance of workplace health & safety programs, in collaboration with Security and Risk teams. Review and approve HR budgets and headcount planning across the region. Reporting and CoordinationPrepare and submit regional HR reports to Group HR as required. Coordinate cross-property HR initiatives, internal transfers, and group-wide HR communication. Ensure all hotels maintain up-to-date licenses and permits as per local regulations.
General ResponsibilitiesAct as a role model in upholding the company's values, professional image, and ethical standards. Maintain strong, supportive relationships with hotel leadership and property HR teams. Stay updated with global HR trends and provide recommendations for process or policy improvements. Support or lead HR due diligence and integration for new property openings or acquisitions in the region. Be available to travel frequently across properties within the assigned region.
Qualifications And ExperienceBachelors or Masters degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related fieldMinimum 10 years of HR experience or regional leadership roleStrong knowledge of employment law in Southeast Asia, particularly in Thailand and IndonesiaProven leadership and team development skillsFluent in EnglishExcellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal abilitiesAbility to work across cultures
