Base Maintenance Controller

Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will join the base maintenance department in SIA Engineering Division. He/she will support the base maintenance functions. Reporting to VP Base Maintenance, the Maintenance Controller is primarily responsible for driving timely completion of maintenance checks and rectifications in a base maintenance hangar environment for SIA and SIA subsidiary airline’s aircraft. This will be inclusive of both maintenance checks that takes place in Singapore or overseas locations.Key ResponsibilitiesWork with all MROs in managing the preparations, progress of maintenance checksAttend the daily engineering operations meeting to report on the progress of each aircraft undergoing maintenanceWork with MRO and Costing section to determine reasonable charging of work done progressively through the course of a hangar checkWork on continual improvement projects to bring about maintenance cost-savings and efficiency gain in workflow for hangar checksConduct periodic audits of the MRO to ensure proper completion of maintenance works and accuracy of documentationCompile and disseminate daily reports on progress of maintenance checks in base maintenance hangarsRequirementsThe candidate should be a Licensed Aircraft Engineer and should have:Experience in base maintenance work, preferably 10 yrs experienceExcellent interpersonal skills as the job requires interaction various user departmentsExcellent planning and organisation skills and be able to work independentlyStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsGood IT skillsWe thank all candidates for your interest in Singapore Airlines, and regret that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
