Join Johnston Equipment as a Battery Service Technician.As the Battery Service Technician, you will be diagnosing and repairing batteries and charges. You will also be performing scheduled maintenance pm batteries ad charges at customer sites.How You’ll Make An ImpactYou will be responsible for the overall operational integrity and condition of truck batteries and chargers with the following responsibilities:Educating customer’s employees on charger operations and proper proceduresRepair batteries at customer’s sitesMake appropriate adjustments to batteries and charger settings to prolong working lifeMaintain accurate records for each battery and provide ongoing assessmentsEducate customers on how to keep batteries and/or chargers in good conditionWork with battery suppliers on warrantyWhat You’ll Bring To The TableHigh school completion or equivalent education proficiency and/or minimum of 3 years technical of experience with industrial batteries and chargers or Electrical trades certificate.Changing battery cells/ Diagnostic abilities/ Able to perform all battery related repairsProper factory training and extensive experience repairing chargersPhysically capable of lifting 40 lbs working with industrial batteries (6000 lbs) knowledge of lifting devicesForklift certificate training provided, previous certification preferredAble to work independentlyGood command of English (verbal and written) Ability to effectively interact and communicate with customers and other techniciansExperience working with technology ( i-pad and other mobile devices)Clean Driver’s abstractWhy You’ll love it hereWe offer a competitive salary, incentive program, and an excellent benefits package.We trust and support you - take ownership of your work and push your ideas from inception to execution.We want to see you grow - we support your career progression and provide learning and development opportunities.While we appreciate all applications we receive, we advise that only candidates under consideration will be contacted.G.N.
