The Institut Pasteur du Cambodge (IPC) is a Cambodian non-for-profit research institution established in 1953, IPC is today a scientific research establishment declared of public utility placed under the high patronage of the Ministry of Health of the Kingdom of Cambodia and under the responsibility of the Institute Pasteur on the scientific and technical levels. The IPC is a member of the Pasteur Network, which brings together 33 institutes present on five continents. It shares the Pasteurian values and the ethical charter to which the Pasteur Institutes are bound. The IPC has more than 250 employees, including about 30 expatriates from over 10 different nationalities and includes 6 research units. It carries out research activities in health biology, public health and service activities (Medical Biology Laboratory, vaccinations and water and food analyses) and training. The position also involves maintaining and updating the biobank database to ensure data accuracy, sample traceability, and compliance with quality and biosafety standards. The successful candidate will work closely with the laboratory and data management teams to support ongoing malaria research and biobanking activities. Main responsibilities: The main responsibility of the biobank technician is to perform the tasks as below. Ø Receive, process, and store biological samples following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).Ø Record and update sample information in the biobank database or REDCap system.Ø Ensure data accuracy, sample traceability, and proper documentation at all stages.Ø Monitor sample storage conditions and maintain temperature and inventory logs.Ø Assist in sample shipment and inventory management as required.Ø Follow biosafety, biosecurity, and quality assurance procedures in all laboratory activities.Ø Collaborate closely with field teams, data management teams, and laboratory staff.
