Veta Virtual is hiring a Bookkeeper – Property Management (HOA) to support a fast-growing New York City–based property management company specializing in condo and co-op (HOA) buildings.🔑 Your Role:As a Bookkeeper – Property Management, you’ll manage the financial operations of multiple condo and co-op buildings in New York City. You’ll oversee day-to-day bookkeeping, support monthly and annual reporting cycles, and occasionally interact with owners, vendors, and external accounting partners. You’ll ensure financial clarity for both the property management team and the buildings they serve.Your responsibilities will include:Managing daily financial activity, including processing vendor invoices, recording transactions, maintaining clean ledgers, and handling AP/AR tasks across multiple buildings.Completing monthly reconciliations and reporting, preparing building-level financial statements, assisting with year-end packages, and ensuring all accounts match bank records.Handling owner and vendor inquiries, helping explain recurring charges, resolving discrepancies, supporting invoicing questions, and escalating issues when necessary.Collaborating with accounting partners and internal teams, coordinating with CPAs, tax professionals, property managers, and maintenance teams to resolve financial-related issues.Tracking building-level charges such as special assessments, fines, recurring fees, and other billing categories, ensuring accuracy and proper classification.Supporting budgeting and financial planning, flagging cash flow concerns, identifying risks, recommending solutions, and assisting with financial transitions from previous management companies.Continuously improving financial processes, communicating proactively, asking clarifying questions, and helping refine systems as the company grows.✅ What You’ll Need:3+ years of bookkeeping/accounting experience, including at least 2 years in property management, real estate, HOA, or similar environments.Strong experience with: reconciliations, GL management, AP/AR, building-level financials, and monthly close processes.Excellent, highly fluent English communication skills — able to interact professionally with homeowners, vendors, and team members.Ability to handle detailed, high-volume financial work with accuracy, ownership, and follow-through.A proactive, solution-oriented mindset — comfortable pushing back, asking questions, and resolving issues independently.A reliable, professional remote work setup (computer, strong internet, quiet environment).Strong comfort using digital tools and adapting communication via email, chat, and shared platforms.Availability to work Mondays through Fridays, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. ET (NYC operations).💼 What We Offer:💸 Competitive monthly compensation in USD, based on experience.🌴 Paid time off, plus all U.S. national holidays.💻 Fully remote role — work from anywhere with a professional home setup.📈 Opportunities to deepen your expertise in NYC condo/co-op (HOA) financial operations, a highly valuable niche.🚀 A chance to grow with a fast-paced company committed to strong systems and continuous improvement.🤝 A supportive, collaborative environment through both Veta Virtual and the client you’ll serve.Ready to Apply?If you’re excited to take ownership of building-level finances, support a rapidly growing NYC property management company, and be part of a team that values accuracy, communication, and proactive problem-solving — we’d love to meet you.Apply now to start your next successful chapter with Veta Virtual!
