The Civil Nuclear Constabulary (CNC) is an armed police service that’s dedicated to the nuclear industry. Given the critical nature of our work, it’s key that we recruit skilled and committed professionals.We’re looking for a Business & People System Support (BPSS) Change Lead to join the Oracle System Support and Development (OSSD) team, who manage the maintenance and continuous improvement of the Oracle solution and associated systems.In this role you will be responsible for supporting the BPSS Development Manager in the continuous improvement of the systems used by the CNC and it’s end users. You will primarily be responsible for ensuring the systems are available, fit for purpose, supported and that end users are appropriately trained to make the most of the systems. You will also use your skills and knowledge to support the BPSS Development Manager and Delivery Manager with the implementation of change.Some of your responsibilities in this role will also include:- Managing the change process from identification through to planning, testing and implementation, working closely and in collaboration with the wider organisation- Development and maintenance of trusted relationships with suppliers, partners, vendors and customers in support of business strategies and goals- Contribute to the management of system policies and procedures by way of review, analysis and recommendation- Ensure compliance with security practices, guidelines and standards- Facilitate monthly BPSS Management Board, Functional Lead Committee and Change Advisory Board meetings- Collaboration with the wider organization to drive innovation with our BPSS processes and systems- Maintenance of BPSS Risk Record and CNC Risk RegisterTo be successful in this role you will have the following experience and skills:- IT/professional services qualification or a willingness to attain the ITIL- Change Management Qualification- Experience of managing and documenting system change and upgrades- Experience of supporting a technical system with proven problem management and decision-making ability- Demonstrable experience working to exemplary levels of integrity and attention to detail- Proficient in the implement and use of change control processes- Ability to plan work activities and prioritise to meet operational deadlines and user needs- Flexibility in working practices which will include some travel throughout the CNC establishments and supplier venues- Required to work with discretion and confidentialityThere will be occasional travel to other sites. A driving license is essential for this position in order to access these.
