This role blends hands-on operational management with a leadership mindset - ensuring every building runs smoothly, sustainably, and with care for those who call it home.Key ResponsibilitiesOperational & Maintenance ManagementOversee daily building operations and presentation standards.Coordinate maintenance programs, contractor performance, and compliance.Ensure adherence to WHS, fire safety and building regulations.Resident & Stakeholder EngagementBe the trusted point of contact for residents, tenants and committees.Deliver proactive, empathetic communication and prompt issue resolution.Sustainability & Energy EfficiencyDrive energy efficiency, waste reduction and sustainable practices.Support New Era’s environmental and ESG initiatives.Financial & Contract ManagementAssist in budget preparation, cost control, and financial reporting.Review contracts, quotes, and invoices for quality and value.Risk & Incident ManagementIdentify and mitigate potential risks.Respond to incidents professionally and promptly.Continuous ImprovementContribute ideas to enhance building performance and community satisfaction.Champion New Era’s commitment to people, innovation, and leadership. Qualifications & Experience Minimum 2 years’ experience in Building or Facilities Management.Strong understanding of maintenance systems, compliance, and contractor management.Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.Financial acumen for budgeting and expenditure tracking.Organised, solution-focused, and proactive under pressure.Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.A genuine passion for people, community, and sustainability. Why Join New EraAt New Era, we don’t just manage buildings - we build leaders.
