What this job involves:As a Building Superintendent at JLL, you'll serve as the operational backbone of our commercial properties, ensuring exceptional facility management that directly impacts tenant satisfaction and property value. In this hands-on role, you'll oversee daily building operations, coordinate maintenance activities, and serve as the primary point of contact for tenants and vendors. This position offers opportunities to strengthen and advance your career while making a tangible difference in the spaces where people work and conduct business.What your day-to-day will look like: Conduct daily building inspections and monitor mechanical systems, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing operations Coordinate and oversee maintenance requests, repairs, and vendor activities throughout the property Respond to tenant concerns and emergency situations in a timely and professional manner Maintain accurate records of building operations, work orders, and preventive maintenance schedules Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and JLL operational standards Supervise and provide guidance to maintenance staff and contracted service providers Communicate regularly with property management teams regarding building status and operational needsRequired qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent with 3+ years of building maintenance or facilities management experience Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building systems Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and maintenance documentation Excellent communication and customer service skills for tenant and vendor interactions Physical capability to perform maintenance tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds and working in various building areas Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for property-related travel Availability to respond to emergency situations outside of regular business hoursPreferred qualifications: Associate degree in facilities management, engineering, or related technical field EPA Universal CFC certification or other relevant trade certifications Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and property management software Previous experience in commercial real estate or corporate facilities environments Basic knowledge of energy management systems and sustainability practices Supervisory experience managing maintenance teams or coordinating with contractors
