Sierra Nevada Ski-Season Begins

The Sierra Nevada Ski Station will open this Saturday, the 29th of November, beginning the 2025/26 Ski Season.

Available are seven kilometres of skiiing snow on nine ski slopes en the Borreguiles area, making it the best opening in four years.

On the slopes are nine lifts: two cable cars, five ski chairs, as well as two in the beginner areas.

As for snow thickness, it’s between 20 and 40 centimetres of hard snow. People are advised to stay away from snow outside the slopes because of the high risk of ice.

The Ski Station offers activities for non-skiers this weekend in Pradollano (Parque Mirlo Blanco, Sledge Mirlo and an ice-skating rink) as well as in Borreguiles (Toboganing).

Two restaurants are also open, Central Grill and D’Puro Burger in the Borreguiles.
