DETROIT − The Green Bay Packers will have the engine to their offense back when they play the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving in the Motor City.

Running back Josh Jacobs is active after missing last week’s game against the Minnesota Vikings with a bone bruise in his knee and another bruise on his thigh above the knee. It’s unclear how much backup Emanuel Wilson, who had 107 yards and two touchdowns on 28 carries replacing Jacobs against the Vikings, will play with the starter back. But Jacobs is a vital part to their offense.

Quay Walker inactive, Keisean Nixon returns

The Packers will be without one of their defensive leaders with linebacker Quay Walker inactive. Walker, listed as questionable on the injury report, will miss his second straight game because of a stinger.

Cornerback Keisean Nixon will not miss a game with the same injury. The Packers' top corner, who dropped out of last week's game with a stinger, is active against the Lions.

PACKERS FULL ROSTER: Packers roster, jersey numbers for Thanksgiving game vs Lions

Packers inactives

Along with Walker, rookie receivers Matthew Golden and Savion Williams, offensive lineman Donovan Jennings, cornerback Nate Hobbs, defensive tackle Karl Brooks and defensive end Lukas Van Ness are inactive.

That's a lot of roster depth unavailable on Thanksgiving.

Golden was listed as questionable after missing last week's game with a shoulder and wrist injury. He will miss a second game this week, this one because of the wrist. Williams was ruled out on the injury report this week because of a mid-foot sprain he had previously been playing through.

Brooks (ankle) and Van Ness (foot) were also previously ruled out. Van Ness returned last week against the Vikings but played only a few snaps.

Hobbs was listed as questionable because of his MCL sprain that caused him to miss the previous three games. He'll have the mini-bye this weekend to further rest his knee before trying to return next week.

Jennings is a healthy scratch.

Detroit Lions inactives

The Detroit Lions will be without standout safety Kerby Joseph, offensive linemen Miles Frazier and Graham Glasgow, defensive linemen Tyler Lacy and Mekhi Wingo, wide receiver Kalif Raymond and tight end Brock Wright.
