Role OverviewThe Business Analyst is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and documenting business and functional requirements, ensuring alignment between business objectives and technical solutions. The role involves close collaboration with business stakeholders, product owners, and development teams to translate needs into actionable specifications, use cases, and workflows.The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and communication skills, experience in Agile delivery environments, and familiarity with customs, logistics, or supply-chain domains.Key Responsibilities Requirements Gathering & Documentation Collect, understand, and document business requirements from stakeholders across multiple departments Translate business requirements into detailed functional and technical specifications, including use cases, user stories, activity diagrams, and EPICs Apply BABOK-aligned best practices for business analysis and documentation standards Maintain clear traceability between business needs, system requirements, and delivered functionalities Document workflows, processes, and business rules using UML or other visualization techniques Analysis & Solution Design Evaluate existing business systems and propose enhancements to improve efficiency and performanceSupport development teams by clarifying requirements and ensuring full understanding of business logic. Analyze integration points, data migration, and reporting requirements as part of project design Prepare and validate test scenarios and acceptance criteria in coordination with QA teams Recommend process improvements based on user feedback, performance data, and system analysis Stakeholder Engagement & Communication Serve as a conduit between the business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring consistent understanding and alignment Conduct requirement workshops, interviews, and presentations with end-users and management Communicate effectively with a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts Support user training and post-implementation feedback sessions when required. Governance & Continuous Improvement Ensure business analysis deliverables meet organizational quality and documentation standards Contribute to maintaining a reusable library of business process documentation and templates Stay up to date with trends in business analysis, Agile frameworks, and customs/supply chain digitalization initiatives Support the adoption of continuous improvement across project lifecyclesRequirementsQualifications & Experience Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information system, or a related field 4-7 years of professional experience as a Business Analyst in IT or digital-transformation projects Proven experience in writing and maintaining documentation (Use Cases, User Stories, Activity Diagrams, EPICs, etc.) Knowledge of BABOK standards and Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) Experience in Customs, Supply Chain, Logistics, Transportation, Freight Forwarding, or Warehousing is an advantage Strong understanding of system analysis, process design, and requirement traceability Excellent analytical and communication skills in Arabic and English (written and spoken) BA certification (CBAP, CCBA, or equivalent) is a plusExpectations Demonstrate ownership and accountability in delivering high-quality business analysis outputs Collaborate closely with product owners and project teams to ensure successful implementation of business requirements Maintain transparency, accuracy, and consistency across documentation and communication Support Agile ceremonies and ensure business needs are effectively represented throughout sprint Exhibit adaptability, professionalism, and problem-solving mindset in a dynamic, multi-stakeholder environmentIf you are an analytical professional passionate about bridging business needs with digital solutions and driving process excellence, we'd like to hear from you.
