Business Analyst - upGrad Higher Education

About the Role:We’re looking for a critical thinking Business Analyst to join our fast-paced and result-oriented team. If selected, you have the opportunity to work closely with the revenue team for Higher Education Business at upGrad to track performance at the most granular level to drive sales and marketing efficiencies within the system and be a part of the Growth Engine. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives on thinking first principles, solving complex business problems, enjoys working with data, and can translate data into action items.You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams — Product, Marketing, Sales, and Operations — to identify opportunities and drive the day-to-day business.Key Responsibilities:Gather, analyze, and interpret datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insightsCreate and maintain dashboards and reports to support decision-makingPresent insights and recommendations to leadership in a clear and concise mannerSupport special projects such as pricing analysis, user behavior studies, or operational efficiency initiativesRequirements:Bachelor’s degree from IIT, NIT, or BITS Pilani (Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics preferred)2–3 years of experience in business analysis, consulting, data analyticsProficiency in Excel, SQL, Power BI / Tableau, and Google SheetsStrong analytical thinking and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication skills and the ability to simplify complex data into clear insights.A proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and in collaboration with multiple stakeholders
