Our mission is to enrich the lives of children and families — and data plays a critical role in helping us achieve this.We're now searching for an experienced Business Analyst - Data & Insights to join our Corporate Headquarters and help elevate how data informs strategy, operational decisions, and organisational performance.The OpportunityThis is a hands-on, senior-level role for a highly capable analyst with expert-level dashboards & Power BI skills.You will design and maintain impactful dashboards, partner with stakeholders across the organisation, and help foster a culture where data is understood, trusted, and used confidently at every level.You will collaborate closely with centre managers and senior leaders to identify performance challenges, benchmark against sector peers, and deliver insights that drive measurable improvement.Position OverviewThe Business Analyst is a strategic role that enables data-informed decision-making across Catholic Early EdCare's childcare services. The role involves building intuitive dashboards, analysing raw data, and identifying trends that support operational performance, financial planning, and compliance. With strong technical skills in Power BI, automation, and data integration, the analyst transforms complex data into clear, actionable insights.In addition to core analytics, the role supports regulatory reporting, predictive modelling, and continuous improvement initiatives. A deep understanding of the childcare sector allows the analyst to proactively identify opportunities for operational optimisation and partner with internal teams to drive measurable outcomes across the network.KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY Power BI Dashboard Development: Build, edit and streamline intuitive, interactive dashboards and visuals for diverse stakeholders.Data Interpretation & Insight Generation: Analyse raw Excel/CSV data to identify trends and extract actionable insights.Automation & API Integration: Automate reporting workflows and integrate data from multiple systems using APIs.Childcare Sector Analysis: Interpret data in the context of childcare operations including utilisation, absenteeism, bookings, and staffing.Regulatory Reporting: Prepare data for compliance submissions including CCS, NQF, and other regulatory frameworks.Strategic Data Leadership: Lead the development of a data strategy for CEEC, including governance, data quality, and reporting standards.Advanced Analytics & Forecasting: Build predictive models for enrolment trends, staffing needs, and financial forecasting.Sector Benchmarking & Competitive Analysis: Conduct benchmarking against other childcare providers and provide strategic insights.Regulatory & Compliance Intelligence: Monitor policy changes and adjust reporting frameworks proactively.Centre Performance Consulting: Partner with centre managers to diagnose performance issues and deliver training on data usage.Innovation & Automation Leadership: Lead automation initiatives and explore integration with platforms like Xero, CRM, and HRIS.KEY PERFORMANCE MEASURESImprovement in dashboard usability and stakeholder engagementNumber of automated reporting processes implementedAccuracy and timeliness of regulatory submissionsInsights delivered that lead to operational improvementsCentre manager satisfaction with data support and consultingPredictive model accuracy and adoptionQualifications, Skills, Purpose, Mindsets And BehavioursAdvanced Power BI expertise, including DAX, Power Query, and data modelling, with a focus on building intuitive, user-friendly dashboards that support decision-making across all levels of the organisation.Minimum 5 years' experience in business analysis, insights, or a senior analytical role.Proven experience leading data transformation projects or BI strategy in multi-site environments, with the ability to align technical solutions to operational needs and strategic goals.Strong understanding of childcare funding models, CCS entitlements, and operational levers, enabling accurate financial analysis and targeted recommendations.Ability to influence executive decision-making through clear data storytelling, strategic insight, and the delivery of evidence-based recommendations.Track record of delivering measurable improvements through data-led initiatives, including automation, performance optimisation, and predictive modelling.Experience in regulatory reporting and compliance, with the ability to interpret and prepare data for submissions aligned to NQF and CCS requirements.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to tailor insights and visualisations to suit both frontline educators and senior leadership audiences.Strong organisational and systems thinking, capable of managing competing priorities, streamlining reporting processes, and driving continuous improvementLICENCE & CERTIFICATESDriver's LicenceWorking with Children Check (Blue Card) from the Queensland Public Safety Business AgencyCriminal History clearanceFull permanent working rights in AustraliaDECISION / AUTHORITY LEVELExecution of approved data strategy and automation initiativesPreparation & submission of regulatory documentation and dashboardsManagement of data pipelines and reporting frameworksCoordination of stakeholder engagement and performance consultingWhy Join Us?As part of the Centacare Group, CEEC offers a supportive, purpose-driven work environment where your expertise directly contributes to better outcomes for children and families.We offer:: Competitive salary that reflects your experience and impact Friendly, inclusive, and social team environment Modern corporate office near Brisbane CBD Free on-site parking Leave loading Employee wellbeing programs and staff discounts Up to 95% discount on early education and care feesJoin a purpose-led organisation where your work makes a meaningful difference across Queensland communities.All decisions are made in accordance with CEEC's policies, procedures, and delegated authority frameworks.
