About The RoleWe have an opportunity for an experienced Business Analyst to join our Digital Business team, with a focus around NZ tax legislation processes and regulatory reporting. This is a 9-month fixed-term contract position to cover a period of parental leave, with the successful candidate ideally starting in February 2026. The role has full time hours and is based in Tauranga; however we are open to discussing another location for the right candidate.RoleAs Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in facilitating the successful execution of organisational change initiatives. As part of our Business Analysis team, your focus will be to:Engage with stakeholders and drive a highly collaborative approach to our business-wide project deliveryCollaborate closely with SMEs and vendors throughout the design and delivery of the programmeAssist with high level solution designLead business process design aligning to the target operation model and programme design principlesWrite detailed requirements, functional specifications, use cases and test scenariosLead configuration of technology solutions to meet CIP solution requirementsFacilitate review of product design artifactsAssist with design and delivery of internal application and external party integrationsAbout YouYou will join our Digital Business team which is responsible for driving strategic change and strengthening CIP’s project delivery capabilities. As you will be working on projects with requirements around tax, working knowledge of the Financial Services Industry and NZ tax legislation is highly desirable. Ideally, you will have at least five years’ experience working in cross-functional delivery teams as part of transformation programmes around technology and business change. You will have an analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities to address complex challenges, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels. Good understanding of agile methodologies, tools and ways of working will also be highly regarded.
