Play an integral role - this is an opportunity that allows for you to grow your skills, while directly contributing to the business unit you are a part of.The opportunity - collaborate with cross-functional teams and work on a variety of projects that will keep you engaged and continuously learning.What you’ll be working onElicit requirements leveraging experience and discretion to apply an appropriate mix of approaches: interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysisCritically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needsProactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal stakeholders to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following artifacts as needed: business requirements document, use cases, GUI, prototypes, screen and interface designsPerform manual testing on occasion and as neededDrive and challenge business units on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plansCollaborate with designers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needsEnsure solutions meet stakeholder objectives by collaborating with quality assurance professionals and subject matter experts; conduct usability assessment; perform/support user acceptance testing efforts as requiredAct as a role model and mentor for more junior members of the Business Analysis teamProvides business and system expertise along with research/analysis services that support the design, delivery and maintenance of quality applications and enhancementsImplements business requirements and process change initiatives to ensure that all specifications meet the objectives of the CompanyEnsures process change along with appropriate communication for integration into business unit operationsWhat we’re looking for you to have5+ years experience in Business Analyst or Quality Assurance Specialist role3+ years experience in insurance/financial servicesPost secondary education or equivalent work experience Proven knowledge and experience in implementation of Investment Products, especially Group Retirement Services products like RRSP, DPSP, TFSA, RPP etcDirect experience with Unitrax or similar investor recordkeeping and administration systems.
