Job Title: Business Analyst Location: Richmond, VA (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)Duration: 12–18 monthsInterview Type: In-person onlyCandidate must be local to VAJob Summary:Client is seeking an experienced IT Business Analyst with over 5 years of experience working on software/application projects. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical, technical, and communication skills, with hands-on experience in Agile and Waterfall methodologies.Key Responsibilities:• Gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements.• Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and prepare process flow diagrams and wireframes.• Translate technical information into business terms and vice versa.• Manage Agile artifacts (Epics, Features, User Stories, Test Plans, etc.) using Azure DevOps (TFS).• Support testing efforts including system integration and user acceptance testing.• Work closely with developers, testers, and business users to ensure project success.• Assist with process modeling, user adoption, and rollout of new systems.Required Skills:• 5+ years as an IT Business Analyst on software/application projects.• Strong understanding of Agile (Scrum/SAFe) and Waterfall methods.• Experience with Azure DevOps (TFS), SQL, APIs, and data flow diagrams.• Ability to write clear, testable functional/non-functional requirements.• Strong communication, documentation, and presentation skills.• Experience with Visio for diagrams and process modeling.Preferred:• Prior State of Virginia IT project experience
