We invite talented professionals to join us in shaping the future of grocery shopping and delivery.About The RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Financial Systems Technical Lead (L6) to define and execute the strategy, roadmap, and technical architecture for Instacart’s Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) environments. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on technical expertise to ensure our financial platforms are secure, scalable, and compliant, while enabling business growth and operational excellence. You will be responsible for designing integrations across our financial ecosystem, modernizing release and automation practices through CI/CD pipelines, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders including Finance, Accounting, and Product teams. Your leadership will be pivotal in shaping the future of our financial systems, ensuring they serve as strategic enablers for insight, compliance, and operational efficiency. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence enterprise architecture, promote innovation, and foster continuous improvement within a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.Qualifications10+ years of experience in infrastructure, integration development, or financial systems, with a focus on cloud-native environments such as OCI, AWS, GCP, or Azure.Proven experience as a technical lead or architect for enterprise financial systems and Oracle integrations.Hands-on expertise with CI/CD pipelines, version control, and release automation frameworks.Experience integrating Oracle Financials with applications including Salesforce, High Radius, billing platforms, and data warehouses.Strong ability to identify risks, propose strategic initiatives, and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Experience mentoring junior engineers or Business Systems Analysts, fostering technical growth and best practices.ResponsibilitiesDefine and evolve the technical strategy and roadmap for OCI and OIC, ensuring alignment with enterprise and finance priorities.Design and oversee architecture for integrations with upstream and downstream applications such as Salesforce, High Radius, Workiva, Floqast, and other financial tools.Translate complex technical landscapes into clear, actionable priorities and milestones, facilitating communication with diverse stakeholders.Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines, version control systems, and automated release processes to enhance system reliability and reduce operational risk.Deliver scalable, robust solutions that support accounting operations and financial reporting workflows.Mentor and develop junior Business Systems Analysts and engineers, promoting a culture of continuous technical improvement.Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, Engineering, IT, and Product teams to align technology initiatives with business outcomes and strategic goals.Monitor Oracle feature releases and evaluate emerging technologies, including automation and AI, for potential integration into financial systems.Partner with stakeholders to ensure OCI/OIC solutions adhere to security best practices, compliance standards, and audit requirements.Advocate for observability, logging, and infrastructure practices that ensure system resilience, security, and audit readiness.BenefitsCompetitive compensation packages aligned with market standards.Flexible work environment supporting remote, in-office, or hybrid arrangements.Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance plans.Generous paid time off and holidays to promote work-life balance.Opportunities for professional development, training, and career growth.Equity grants and annual refresh grants to reward long-term commitment.Access to a collaborative and innovative work culture focused on continuous improvement.Equal OpportunityInstacart is an equal opportunity employer.
