A great time to join as Business Controller and develop yourself within this dynamic and entrepreneurial organization!Your responsibilitiesAs Business Controller at our client’s firm, you will take responsibility for one or more business units, and you will also become part of the management team. You will report directly to the Group Finance Director and act as Business Partner for the respective business units. Your tasks will include:Preparing budgets, forecasts, and long-term plansPreparing and analysing periodic reportsIdentifying risks, opportunities, and improvement potential in processes, performance and strategyProviding (solicited and unsolicited) advice based on sharp analyses, trends and scenariosThinking proactively with the board, management and private equity party about growth targetsOptimising dashboards, management information, and KPI reportingPerforming analyses on revenue, margin and costs and translating these into concrete management informationActing as Business Partner for the business — bridging finance and operationsWhat we offerAnnual salary of €70,000 - €80,000 on a full-time basis, depending on prior work experience (some flexibility possible)Generous pension scheme — two-thirds paid by employerTravel allowance or NS business cardNet expense allowance of €55 per monthA challenging Business Controller role offering plenty of room for initiative and personal developmentHybrid working hours and flexibility to work from one of the offices in Amsterdam, Zoetermeer or UtrechtWhat you bring to the tableCompleted bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics or AccountingMinimum five years of relevant experience, ideally as (Business) Controller or from a BIG4 background (Audit or Transaction Services)Strong analytical skills with a feel for numbers and business — capable of supporting decision-making with insightWe are looking for a Business Controller who does more than deliver numbers: someone who is visibly present in the organisation, proactively connects with stakeholders and builds trust through clear, comprehensible and timely adviceExcellent communication skills, organisational sensitivity, and the ability to translate complex analyses into concrete actionsA business-minded sparring partner: you actively reach out to people instead of waiting for them to come to youGood command of English, both spoken and written (Dutch is a plus)Flexible and agile in a fast-changing work environmentAvailability for 32–40 hours per weekWant to know more?Are you the Business Controller we are looking for?
