Job Description

We’re looking for a motivated and forward-thinking Business Developer to help expand Lava Car Rental’s presence through strategic partnerships, collaborations, and new distribution channels.You’ll focus on strengthening our reseller network and building long-term relationships with travel agencies, tour operators, OTAs, and other key distribution partners — both in Iceland and internationally.This is an exciting opportunity to shape Lava’s growth by increasing visibility, reaching new markets, and driving sustainable revenue through meaningful collaborations. Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify, approach, and secure partnerships with travel agencies, tour operators, airlines, hotels, OTAs, and booking platforms.Develop and manage long-term B2B partnerships that drive bookings and enhance Lava’s presence locally and abroad.Negotiate partnership agreements and maintain strong, ongoing relationships with key partners.Explore and implement innovative revenue opportunities such as affiliate marketing, co-branding, and referral programs.Analyse partner performance and deliver actionable, data-driven insights to maximize ROI and growth.Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to align partnerships with brand and business goals.Represent Lava Car Rental at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to build visibility and connections.Skills & ExperienceProven experience in business development, B2B sales, or partnerships (preferably in travel, hospitality, or mobility).Solid understanding of travel distribution systems and partner networks (OTAs, resellers, and tech platforms).Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.A proactive, commercially minded approach with a curiosity for new opportunities.Strong organizational and relationship-building skills.Fluent in English; additional languages such as Icelandic, French, German, or Spanish are a plus.Why Join Lava Car Rental?Be part of a fast-growing Icelandic brand with a strong online presence and an ambitious future plan.Collaborate in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment where ideas drive growth.Opportunities for career progression and travel industry networking.
