You'll balance hands-on delivery with strategic thinking - spotting opportunities, validating ideas quickly and shaping commercial pathways that support both UK and future international growth.2. Hands-On vs. Strategic Balance Team Purpose & ChallengesSecure new partnership opportunities that expand Years' reach and growth but most importantly fit with our brand valuesNavigate fast-scaling challenges by prioritising high-value initiatives and validating ideas quicklyBuild repeatable, scalable partnerships while staying ahead of evolving customer and market needsIdentify and deliver high-impact partnerships, channels, and market opportunitiesSupport international expansion and build frameworks that enable long-term scalable growthBalance fast execution with shaping strategic commercial pathways for the futureReport directly to the Head of Retail with increasing ownership of major workstreamsInfluence commercial direction through regular engagement with senior leadershipEvolve responsibilities as the business scales, contributing to both delivery and strategyPartner closely with Marketing, Product, Operations, Finance, and Customer ExperienceLead cross-functional projects such as market assessments, GTM plans, and proposition testingEnsure initiatives are aligned, operationally viable, and customer centricBlend strategic thinking with hands-on delivery of key initiativesLead workstreams end-to-end, from commercial modelling to external partner engagementStay close to detail while driving long-term commercial impact and opportunity creationKey ResponsibilitiesIdentify and develop new commercial opportunities through outreach, research, and partner conversations:Build business cases, analyse performance data, and track the impact of ongoing initiativesDrive cross-functional delivery on live projects, coordinating with Marketing, Product, Ops, and CX to keep pace on growthDevelop scalable partnership and channel strategies that support UK growth and international expansionShape new commercial models, propositions, and go-to-market frameworks for future initiativesLead high impact workstreams that influence long-term commercial direction and investment decisionsRequirementsWhat You'll BringStrong experience in business development, commercial strategy, partnerships, or growth roles within a fast-paced consumer, eCommerce, subscription, FMCG, or start-up environment:A proven ability to spot opportunities, build commercial cases, and turn ideas into high-impact outcomesConfidence working with data — from market sizing to performance analysis — to support clear decisionsExcellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence internally and externallyA proactive, curious, and resilient approach, comfortable navigating ambiguity and testing new ideas quicklyThe versatility to switch between hands-on execution and strategic thinking as priorities evolveA genuine passion for improving the lives of pets and building products that make a real difference to ownersBenefitsWhat's In It For You?
