Our purpose is to create greener, healthier, more sustainable places where people and nature thrive.We are seeking a highly motivated experienced Business Development Manager who is curious, community-minded, creative, collaborative, resilient, and humble—driven to understand clients, solve problems, work across teams, overcome challenges, and value both people and nature.The RoleReporting to the Business Development Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and driving the growth agenda leading the team to deliver against annual sales targets and cultivate strong senior-level client and stakeholder relationships whilst coaching and developing a team.This role will suit a strategic, people-focused sales leader who thrives in a values-driven environment and can balance long-term strategic growth with immediate commercial outcomes.Lead and coach a high-performing team aligned with GBN values.Achieve annual revenue targets and drive growth through strategic opportunities.Build and maintain a robust pipeline of major client opportunities (>$500k, 3–5 years).Cultivate strong senior-level client and stakeholder relationships.Develop and implement the BU Business Development Strategic Plan.Strengthen sales capability, processes, and materials, ensuring high-quality proposals and tenders.Monitor performance via HubSpot CRM to ensure accurate reporting.Support GBN’s ESG strategy and promote community engagement initiatives.This role suits a strategic, empathetic people-focused leader who thrives in a values driven environment demonstrating resilience balancing long-term growth with a focus on exceeding client needs.About YouYou’re a proven business development leader who combines commercial drive with strategic insight and people leadership. You’re curious about clients, skilled at identifying opportunities.
