Welcome to the Velvet Club, a niche perfume distributor with an eye for innovation.We’re looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to help accelerate the global growth of our niche fragrance portfolio. If you have a proven track record working with prestige or niche brands such as Initio, Maison Francis Kurdijan and Parfums de Marly, or luxury brands such as Armani, YSL and Jean Paul Gaultier, you’ll feel right at home here.About the RoleIn this hybrid position, you’ll play a key part in expanding our international footprint, opening new doors, and strengthening partnerships across retail, wholesale, and e-commerce. You’ll work closely with leadership, contribute directly to strategic decisions, and have the space to make a visible impact on how the brands evolve worldwide.What You’ll DoIdentify and secure new business opportunities across global retail, distribution, and online channels.Manage and grow existing partnerships with international retailers, wholesalers, and e-commerce players.Build market entry strategies and expansion plans for key regions.Use your industry experience to negotiate contracts, shape assortments, and support premium brand positioning.Track performance, analyze market trends, and translate insights into actionable growth plans.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver successful launches and elevate brand visibility.What You BringDemonstrated experience in the niche or prestige fragrance industry.Background working with recognized premium brands (e.g., Armani, YSL, Jean Paul Gaultier).Strong understanding of international business dynamics and cross-market commercial practices.A solid network of contacts across retail, wholesale, and/or e-commerce channels.A proactive, relationship-driven mindset and the confidence to influence outcomes.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.Candidate must live in the Netherlands, in order to collaborate with the team.Why Join Us?You’ll step into a role where your expertise truly matters.
