Job Description

NQA is looking for an ambitious, results-driven Business Development Manager to join their Commercial Sales team. This role focuses on driving growth across the UK and Ireland by promoting NQA’s certification and training services, developing new business opportunities, and building strong client relationships.NQA provides accredited certification, training and support services to help customers improve processes, performance and products and services. We have issued over 50,000 certificates to clients in over 90 countries resulting in a yearly revenue of around 100 million Euro. NQA was acquired by Kiwa in 2024, a global leader in the Testing, Inspecting and Certification (TIC) sector, based in the Netherlands.This is a remote role with national travel to visit clients and attend occasional meetings at our Dunstable office.OverviewAchieve individual sales targets, supporting the wider business development team to achieve overall objectives set by the Commercial Director.Arrange and conduct client meetings and presentations across the UK, both virtually and face-to-face.Build and maintain positive relationships with new and existing clients to increase revenue, retention, and customer satisfaction.Develop new client opportunities, including support with tenders and expanding the customer base.Build strong relationships with consultants to increase quote volumes and sales conversions.Maximise sales of NQA’s products and services, including developing appropriate sales channels.Maintain accurate records of enquiries, sales, and transactions using Salesforce.Support the Commercial Director with sales visits, exhibitions, events, and initiatives such as the consultant partnership programme.Attend periodic meetings at Head Office as required.ResponsabilitiesEssential CriteriaProven ability to build effective relationships internally and externally, at both senior and operational levels. Experience in business development within the TIC industry.Proven experience of meeting and exceeding sales targets, with personal accountability for results. Results focused with the ability to work well under pressure.Ability to interpret financial and management information to make informed decisions. Experience of developing and implementing sales strategies and tactical plans. Strong commercial skills, including the ability to promote and “sell” services.Willingness to travel; full UK driving licence required. Desirable CriteriaDemonstrable understanding of the market in which NQA UK operates.Experience in business development in the certification industry.Knowledge of Salesforce CRM.
