With over 15 years of experience in humanitarian, development, and peacekeeping support services across Africa, RRS is dedicated to delivering diverse and reliable services in challenging environments.Business Development Senior AnalystPrimary Objective:The core remit of the Business Development Senior Analyst will involve advanced market research, financial and commercial analysis, and strategic planning to support the company business expansion objectives. This role provides critical insight into decision-making, identification of new business opportunities, and supports the design and execution of initiatives aimed at strengthening the company's competitive position within the logistics, procurement, supply chain, and customs sectors.Key Responsibilities:1. Market Research & Strategic Analysis:-      Lead extensive market research to determine emerging trends, customer needs, and changes in the industry.-      Analyze competitors' strategies, pricing, and positioning in the market to inform RRG's growth strategy.-      Provide data-backed insights and forecasts of market entry, diversification, and partnership opportunities.2. Business Opportunity Assessment:-      Assess business opportunities, contracts, and alliances through financial and operational models.-      Prepare business cases, feasibility studies, and analyses of ROI for new initiatives.-      Collaborate with operations and finance teams to assess profitability, risks, and feasibility for implementation.3. Commercial Planning & Proposal Development:-      Provide support in the development of proposals, bids, and tenders for large-scale contracts.-      Coordinate cross-functional inputs to guarantee competitive and compliant submissions.-      Develop pricing models and cost structures in line with RRG's strategic and financial objectives.4. Performance & Pipeline Analysis:-      Track and analyze various BD pipeline activities, conversion rates, and client retention metrics.-      Provide routine performance dashboards and progress reports to leadership.-      Recommend corrective actions or process improvements based on insights from data.5. Relationship & Partnership Support:-      Support identification and management of key client and partner relationships.-      Assist in developing client presentations, communication materials, and strategic engagement plans.-      Represent BD in internal coordination with operations, logistics, procurement, and finance teams.6. Strategic Projects & Growth Initiatives:-      Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies for corporate growth and regional expansion.-      Provide analytical support for M&A activities, joint ventures, or partnership evaluations.-      Engage the management in tracking and assessing key performance results of strategic projects.Skills & Competencies:·      Analytical Thinking: The ability to synthesize complex data sets into meaningful insights for application.·      Commercial Acumen: Strong knowledge of the markets, pricing, and financial assessment.·      Strategic Planning: Ability to translate business analysis into growth strategies and execution plans.·      Technical Expertise: Proficient in MS Excel, including advanced formulae and modeling; Power BI; and CRM tools.·      Communication: Strong presentation and reporting skills, able to engage with Senior Management.·      Research & Data Interpretation: In-depth knowledge of market research methodologies and competitive intelligence.·      Collaboration: Works effectively across teams to ensure that BD initiatives are operationally feasible.Personal Capacities:·      Proactive, resourceful, and results-oriented with strong ownership of assigned projects.·      Adaptable to changed business environments and project needs.·      Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.·      Demonstrates integrity and professionalism in interactions with clients and stakeholders.Qualifications:·      Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Economics, Marketing, or related area; Master's preferred.·      4–6 years of progressive experience in business development, strategy, or market analysis.·      Proven experience in logistics, procurement, supply chain, or related fields.·      Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.·      Experience working with CRM systems such as Salesforce, BI tools such as Power BI, Strong quantitative, analytical, and presentation skills.
