Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Business Intelligence Analyst with strong Power BI skills to join our team on a 6 month contract basis in Glasgow for a consultancy client. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports to support data-driven decision making across the business.Key Responsibilities:Develop, maintain and enhance Power BI dashboards, data models and reports.Gather, interpret and document business requirements from stakeholders.Build and manage data models and ETL processes to support reporting needs.Ensure data integrity and quality across multiple data sources.Optimise existing Power BI solutions for performance and usability.Analyse data to identify trends, insights and performance metrics.Work with data engineers and business teams to align reporting with organisational goals.Provide support and training to end users on Power BI functionality.Essential Skills and Experience:Proven experience as a BI Analyst, Data Analyst or similar role.Advanced Power BI skills, including DAX, Power Query (M) and data modelling.Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.Desirable:Experience with Azure Data services (e.g. Azure Data Factory, Synapse).Familiarity with data governance and security best practices.Background in financial services, utilities or public sector reporting
